Budding Bollywood and Punjabi movie actor and the smiling and lovable sardaar in Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha, Kanwalpreet Singh, recently shared his experience of meeting one of the finest modern Indian cricketers, Rohit Sharma.
The interaction, according to the Channa Mereya actor, was brief, but he said he was literally bowled over by the suave personality of the ace Indian batter during those few moments. To him, the best thing about Rohit was, he knew how to make people around him comfortable.
Kanwalpreet, who himself plays cricket and loves the game passionately like most Indians, praised the Team India captain for his unbelievable simplicity and warmth. He further added that although the captain-cool was a celebrity and a renowned cricketer, he was very much “grounded towards everyone.”
An MBA from Punjab and a winner of Channel V’s Love Net in 2010, Kanwalpreet, shot to fame with his role in the iconic television show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. In the last few years, he has appeared in supporting as well as lead roles in many Punjabi and Bollywood movies.
