When it comes to trekking in Himachal Pradesh, the first thing that hits the mind is the beautiful Parvati Valley. Parvati Valley has so many hidden gems in it like the famous Kasol, Kheerganga, Barshaini, Manikaran, and one m0re attracting place Tosh. All the destinations are very famous for trekking and exploration.
- Place: Tosh Village, Parvati Valley

Tosh trek is one of the easiest treks in Himachal Pradesh. The place gain popularity in recent years due to the nearby hippie village Kasol. Tosh is a beautiful and lush green place to travel and experience the rawness of nature. I think everybody wants to run from the hustle-bustle of urban areas and spend some days in the laps of mother nature with peace along with the captivating views of the mountains.
The Tosh valley trek is a short trek of 4 km. The trek starts from Barshaini, a picturesque hamlet nestled between Kasol and Tosh. The trek is an easy trek and can be done in 2 days. There are a lot of mountain peaks surrounded by Tosh glacier-like Papsura, Angduri, Pinnacle, Devachan, and White sail. As I stated above that Parvati valley is an amazing destination in Himachal Pradesh which can be a perfect weekend getaway. Not just only Tosh valley trek, there are a lot of adventures you can do in the Parvati Valley like Kheerganga trek, Kasol trek, Malana village, and Graham village trek. If you want to challenge your endurance and strength then you can further stretch this expedition till Tosh Glacier. The trail becomes tough and hard to trek on and takes more days. The trek to Tosh glacier starts from Kutla village. The 25km whole trek without homestay and eatery shop will be challenging. It is always advisable to take your own food, a certified guide, and carry your camping gear.
Tosh Valley Trek offers serene beauty of nature in which everyone gets lost. You will spot blue poppies, buttercups, marigold, primulas, and balsam flowers in early summers when the sun shines bright and the weather remains calm. Tosh is famous for Hashish and locals living there depend on animal husbandry and farming. If you are a snow lover then witness heavy snowfall from November to February. Like Kasol, Tosh is also famous for psychedelic and rave parties which makes the place a perfect pick for party animals.
Kasol is heavily crowded and people who find peace and less crowded area move to Tosh. A lot of travelers, backpackers visit Tosh and spend some quality time in between the snow-covered mountains and green surroundings of nature. You will find a lot of homestays and hotels to stay in Tosh which are pocket-friendly.
The most important thing about treks everyone cares about is food. I must on Tosh valley trek, you don’t need to worry about the food as you will get different cuisines like North Indian, European, and Italian. The only thing is the food is extra expensive as it takes a lot of effort to bring raw material to Tosh. Grabbing a paratha with a cup of tea will be a great idea to feed yourself if you are traveling in a budget. Maggie is another great option to lean on and trust me maggie taste a way better in the mountains.
While trekking, keep in mind the instruction of the trek leader. The locals will guide you and advise you in advance not to go close to the Tosh river. In the end, you will witness a massive waterfall. The trek is full of apple orchards and you will be allowed to pluck some fresh ones and have them throughout the trek.
