Virat Kohli, flew home yesterday pointing to personal emergency,  fanning speculations about Anushka Sharma being pregnant with the star couple’s second child.

Rumours about India’s number one celebrity couple, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, expecting their second child has been doing the rounds on social media for quite some time now.

The celebrity couple, who exchanged vows in 2017, welcomed their first child, Vamika, in 2021, and have since maintained a private and protective stance regarding their family life.

Recent reports by a leading Indian media house suggest that Anushka and Virat are indeed expecting their second child. The couple is expected to make a formal announcement, similar to what they did during their first pregnancy, and has reportedly requested the paparazzi to refrain from publishing their pictures until then.

Adding fuel to the speculation, Virat Kohli was noticeably absent when the Indian cricket team arrived at Trivandrum Domestic Airport for an ODI warm-up match against Netherlands. Kohli, who reportedly deviated from the team's route from Guwahati

sought permission from the team management to return to Mumbai due to a personal emergency. According to a source from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Kohli is anticipated to rejoin the team on Monday.

Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma was spotted in the city, but she actively avoided being photographed by the paparazzi. In a video circulating online, the actress can be seen in her car wearing a loose white shirt, gesturing for privacy.

On the professional front, Anushka has recently wrapped up shooting for 'Chakda Xpress' and has not made any new project announcements. Virat Kohli, on the other hand, is gearing up for the upcoming World Cup 2023, scheduled to commence on October 5.
